Hey there, I am Tower

Hi, I’m Tower. I'm a current junior student mildly obsessed with networking. I just moved into a place called After Party island. It’s filled with shadow people who like to whisper things to me, secret things. One day when I was out walking the block, they told me about this weird project called Creative Coding. I’ve never heard of this before so I decided to check it out!
I was a bit nervous to go on this adventure as I’ve haven't done much coding before. The first thing we were introduced to was this block-based environment called Scratch. It’s fairly easy and welcoming just coding by snapping puzzle pieces together. It was fun making characters move and adding sound effects. Though there were some restrictive aspects, it made me feel like this is something I could actually do!
After exploring block-based coding we tried our hand at text-based coding with p5.js. It felt like quite a leap having type out code to write comments and create shapes. You have to be very specific with what you type or what they call the syntax. Who knew computers were so finicky?! The challenge started escalating when we learnt about variables for containing values, conditional statements for decision-making, and for loops for repetition. All these helped to make dynamic and interactive visuals. Sometimes my ideas matched the output, most of the time they didn't and that was hard to reconcile with at times. Things got even crazier with arrays, classes and objects. Honestly, I think those shadow people hate me and pray upon my demise . Though things were getting more challenging, being able to write out code felt so much freer and I think I might be learning something here. I wonder what’s going to happen next…

Imagine there is a picture of me
